Why joining EASE?


Today, employers have their say in the sport and active leisure sector at the European level through EASE and have an important part to play in the building of an effective employer network across the European Union.

Who can be a member of EASE?


Preamble:

Organisations dealing with sports and active leisure and associated collective or individual activities have decided to participate in the social dialogue as defined by the European Union, under the identity of the European Association of Sport Employers (EASE).

This participation relates to the following 3 main sub-sectors:
-professional sport,
-not-for-profit sport (as opposed to professional),
-active leisure

which are constituted as Permanent Committees within EASE.



There are 2 categories of members as defined in the Article 6 of EASE statutes.


Article 6: FULL AND ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

a) Full membership is open to employers' groups and associations which are formally recognised at regional, national or European level as the representative bodies for employers within the sub-sectors as identified in the Preamble.

b) Associate membership is open to
• similar employers' groups and associations which are in the process of recognition, and
• European groups and associations which are active in the sub-sectors as identified in the Preamble and do not have the status of employers' representatives.


How to become member of EASE?


Article 7: APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP

Application for membership shall be sent in writing to EASE along with the applicant's Bye-Laws and the list of its Board members. EASE Board will review the application and its decision will be final.

EQF projects

EASE was involved in the project called "European Qualifications Framework for Outdoor Animators" - EQFOA project (Oct. 06 - Sept. 08) led by SkillsActive (UK Full Member of EASE). EASE is now involved in its follow-up named CLO2 project: “Professionalising training and mobility for Outdoor animators in Europe bridging the gap between sector Competences and Learning Outcomes” (1st Oct. 08 - 30th Sept. 10). The CLO2 project's final conference will be organised in Leuven (Belgium) on 16th and 17th September 2010.

European social dialogue in professional football

The European Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee for professional football – launched on 1st July 08 – brings together the International Federation of Professional Footballers' Associations-Division Europe (FIFPro) and the Association of European Professional Football Leagues (EPFL). The employers' side is complemented by the European Club Association (ECA). Given the specificity of sport governance, the social partners have invited UEFA to chair their dialogue.
